FREE PD for Oklahoma Teachers

ok pd burnedIn our pluralistic democracy, discussions of controversial legal and policy issues often lead to polarization, not understanding. The Civil Conversation (CivCon) method offers an alternative.

In this structured discussion model, under the guidance of a teacher-facilitator, students are encouraged to engage intellectually with challenging materials, gain insight about their own point of view, and strive for a shared understanding of issues with each other.

Links to a CivCon graphic organizer and to a library of free readings will be provided.

Join us on August 17 at 12:00 p.m. Central Time.

$100 stipends are available for teachers who use
a lesson with a class and complete a short survey
