Courtroom to Classroom (C2C) brings judges and attorneys to middle school and high school classrooms. The judge/attorney volunteers use PowerPoint-driven lessons with students that deal with the history of the Constitution and engage them in the content through a moot court activity, using a real Supreme Court case. The volunteers interact with the students to present content, help them prepare for the moot court activity, and answer questions.

Program Goals:

  • To educate students about our legal system and the role of the courts in our democracy
  • To provide opportunities for students to interact with professionals from the legal field to inspire the students to do their best in school.
  • To provide teachers with lessons that address their state-mandated history-social science standards, as well as motivate and engage students.
