The Common Good: Empowering Yourself from . . .

Resources for Remote Learning: Webcast

This webinar brought together middle and high school students from across the country as part of our efforts to support students, teachers, and families engaging in remote learning.

The webinar is led by former Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School studnets Sari Kaufman and Casey Sherman. Kaufman and Sherman are survivors of the 2018 Stoneman Douglas shooting, co-organizers of the Parkland March for Our Lives, and co-founders of Empower the People. They are joined by two members of our Civic Action Project Youth Board -- Gracie Rice of Vadnais Heights, MN and Blanca Godoy of Los Angeles, CA as co-facilitators.

This online learning event provided young people from at least ten different states an opportunity to share their remote learning experiences. The discussion quickly moved from sharing their own disappointments to discussing what young people (and all of us) can do to take action to support our communities and each other.
