An Exciting Opportunity for High School Juniors and Sophomores!
Since 1995, the Expanding Horizons Institute (EHI) has provided intensive skill development and personal growth experiences to first-generation, college-bound high school students. Our unique approach, which includes interactive seminars and paid summer internship, is designed to prepare students for the challenges of college, exposure to careers, and the responsibilities of civic life.
EHI is a dynamic program that offers the following opportunities:
Challenging yourself in new ways
Exposure to various professional career paths
Networking with successful professionals and other aspiring students
Enhancing communication, collaboration, and leadership skills
Increasing confidence, responsibility, and independence
Receiving college admissions advice from experts
Becoming civically engaged
To participate, you must meet the following criteria:
Neither parent graduated from a four-year college
Currently a sophomore or junior attending a Title I high school in Los Angeles County
Available from June 16 to July 28 for seminars and internship. (Complete list of dates.)
The second round of interviews will be at job sites in April.
